How to Register Private Nameservers
Private nameservers allow you to use your own domain as DNS hostnames (for example, ns1.yourdomain.com and ns2.yourdomain.com).
This is often used by VPS or reseller customers who want full branding and control over their DNS setup.
Step 1 — Requirements
Before registering private nameservers, make sure you have:
- A registered domain under your ownership.
- At least two dedicated IP addresses assigned to your hosting or VPS.
- Access to your Impreza Host client area.
If you do not yet have IPs assigned, open a support ticket to request them.

Step 2 — Access the Domain Management Panel
Log in to your client area:
https://portal.imprezahost.com/clientarea.php
Go to Domains > My Domains.
Click Manage Domain next to the domain you will use.

Under Management Tools, click Register Nameservers.

Step 3 — Register Your Nameservers
In the nameserver registration form:
Enter the nameserver prefix (e.g., ns1, ns2).
Enter the IP address assigned to each one.
Example:
Nameserver: ns1.yourdomain.com
IP Address: 203.0.113.10
Nameserver: ns2.yourdomain.com
IP Address: 203.0.113.11

Click Save / Register to apply changes.
Step 4 — Update Nameservers for Your Domain
After registering them:
Go back to the Nameserver Settings section for the same domain.
Select Use custom nameservers.
Enter your new private nameservers:
ns1.yourdomain.com
ns2.yourdomain.com

Save your changes.
Step 5 — Propagation Time
It may take up to 24–48 hours for DNS propagation to complete worldwide.
You can verify that your nameservers are active using tools like:
https://intodns.com/yourdomain.com
https://dnschecker.org/
Notes
- If your VPS or dedicated server IPs change, you must update the registered nameserver IPs in the same section.
- Do not reuse IPs that belong to other domains or servers.
- Some country-specific TLDs may have additional restrictions on custom nameservers.
Once propagation completes, your domain and any subdomains using those private nameservers will begin resolving normally.
